srry if you saw my last entry before i privated it... i feel a lot better. what helped, ironically, was finally posting my very heavy projection/trauma dump fic on ao3. i stayed writing until like 3 a.m. trying to figure out an ending and then finally said eff it and just posted it while i still had the nerve to do it. maybe i'll write a 'behind the fic' commentary post on here...i think the burst of excitement stayed with me for hours afterward, and i didn't end up falling asleep until a very late 8 in the morning. though, as i mentioned in the previous priv entry, it's not like i was getting any sleep before that, so my sleep schedule was already kind of wack anyway.
also, i think i finally have to call it quits on my phone and look for a new one. it's lasted me a good seven years... i got it when my dad, sister, and i did a two-month stay in oregon in 2019, where we were supposed to be finding our forever home before the living situation #here became permanent, and you can guess how that went... i really wish i could go back and do everything differently....my dad and i talked abt that a lot...
anyways, i have absolutely no storage left. it's the photos... i have like 3k just in screenshots. i'm a hoarder in everything, i guess. like, i don't want to delete them because i must've screenshotted them for a reason, and what if i need to see them again? nvm that the only time i ever actually look at them is when i'm doing a clean-out of my gallery lolz.
also, i just really like seeing the different "eras" of myself and it's just kinda fun to scroll through my archive, and see, like, oh! in June 2021, i was really into this thing etc etc.
i deleted like 200 photos and still, zilch storage.
and my phone, for the past week, has been doing this thing where it just restarts itself. at first it was maybe every hour or two, and i could handle that, but the past two days, as soon as i opened any app besides my gallery, it would freeze and then restart itself. even when i left it alone on my bed or on the charger, every 10 minutes it was restarting itself.
so i finally just shut it off yesterday morning and haven't used it since. i'm scared to try to turn it back on and that it won't...
so now i can only really be on my laptop, and i think it's forcing me to be somewhat productive, since the only scmd i'm logged onto this thing is basically limited to writing sites and dw. i do miss twitter, though. it's been a day and a half and i'm having withdrawals...
tmi of the day like i'm an idol sending dms on weverse/bubble lol..but kinda worried i might be coming down with a bug or something...
the past three days i've felt incredibly nauseous/full almost immediately after eating anything (or even drinking water). last night all i had was a struggle meal of refried mayocoba beans and corn tortillas and i could only get through like one and a half before calling it quits.
today i had orange watermelon (so yummy) for breakfast (well... lunch) and that same nauseous feeling came creeping up halfway.
maybe it's stress? i did low-key have a ****** ********* the other day... i usually have the opposite problem tho..they're both annoying.
speaking of food, might as well dump my little british grocery store haul review here while i can still remember.
and imma be completely honest, the only thing i particularly enjoyed and would 100% buy again was the terry's chocolate orange. like why was it better than the cadbury products???? i really want to get the mint one next because i love mint chocolate. i never understood how that became the k-pop debate until i lived with my brother and he'd argue with me about thin mints... he is a #hater.
uhm, the pot noodles...
i'd give the bombay bad boy a 6/7 (brain rot activated) ??? not my favorite, and it wasn't exactly the flavor profile i was expecting, but they were edible and i finished them, so not too much to complain about. i was expecting them to be way spicier though...
sticky rib pot noodles: 3/10. it's a no for me, i'm sorry. they were just so sweet... i added sriracha and soy sauce to mine to try to get some depth or balance or something, but i just couldn't enjoy them.
yorkshire tea malt biscuit brew: 5/10. another pass for me. like, i'd still finish the box i got, but i wouldn't purchase it again and i'd rather try some of their other products instead. i learned it's supposed to taste like a biscuit was dipped in your tea and i guess...?? it's basically just caramel-y. unpopular opinion, but i don't really care for caramel. (which are you: team "car-mel" or "care-uh-mel"? i'm the latter.) and i especially don't like it in tea products. i've tried before with a sugar-free caramel liquid sweetener i got from marshalls and hated it.
so again, if that sounds like something you'd enjoy, you'd probably like it more than i did.
my sister also let me try her cadbury crunchie and apparently honeycomb just isn't really for me either. it's too sweet...
i really am getting old if i'm complaining that a chocolate bar was too sweet.
oh, i forgot we also made the cadbury brownie mix and i'd give it like a 7/10? it was a little too light/cakey for me personally, but i also didn't get the chance to do my new routine where they sit in the fridge overnight since it changes the texture to be much fudgier. unfortunately this batch also got eaten that same night, so i only got like a sliver of a piece.
